Hubbard Strengthens R&D Team to Drive Innovation in Poultry Breeding

Hubbard LLC, based in Walpole, New Hampshire, has announced a new leadership structure within its Research & Development (R&D) operations, reinforcing its commitment to advancing poultry genetics.

Christopher Malcolm has been appointed as Director of R&D Operations, bringing five years of experience at Hubbard, where he previously led the Laboratory & Quality team. His transition into this role has been smooth and seamless, following the departure of his predecessor, Lucas Harrington, who has taken on a new role at Aviagen®, a sister company. Hubbard extends its gratitude to Lucas for his contributions in modernizing and expanding the company’s R&D initiatives over the past five years.

A Strong Team for Future Growth

Christopher Malcolm will lead a talented and dynamic team, including:

  • Andrew Janow, recently promoted to Laboratory Manager
  • Jesse Conley, now serving as Grow and Rearing Farm Manager
  • Dr. Joe Hiltz, who joins Hubbard as a Geneticist

These appointments bring fresh perspectives and expertise, complementing the experience of Scott Hunter (Operations Manager) and Jacob Stratton (Production Manager). Together, this team will play a key role in enhancing Hubbard’s primary breeding program and driving continued innovation in poultry genetics.

Expanding R&D for a Sustainable Future

Over the past five years, Hubbard has made significant investments in its R&D operations at Walpole, strengthening its breeding programs to meet the growing global demand for robust and sustainable poultry breeds.

One of Hubbard’s leading innovations, the Hubbard Efficiency Plus, has gained popularity across Central & Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. This breed is widely recognized for its ease of management, efficiency, and ability to produce high-quality, healthy animal protein at an economic cost.

Commitment to Customers & Sustainability

“Our mission is to support our customers by delivering continuous improvements in bird performance, welfare, and sustainability through cutting-edge breeding programs,” said Olivier Rochard, General Manager of Hubbard.

“As global demand for nutritious and affordable protein continues to rise, we remain dedicated to providing producers with high-performing, sustainable poultry breeds that help feed local communities worldwide.”

With a reinforced leadership team and ongoing R&D advancements, Hubbard is well-positioned to drive future growth and innovation in the poultry industry.
