Netherlands-East Africa Dairy Partnership (NEADAP)

Empowering East Africa’s Dairy Sector: The NEADAP Initiative

The Netherlands East African Dairy Partnership (NEADAP) is driving transformation in East Africa’s dairy industry by fostering collaboration, innovation, and knowledge-sharing. This dynamic platform connects key stakeholders to tackle pressing challenges and unlock new growth opportunities in the region’s dairy sector.

A Partnership Built on Expertise

NEADAP brings together four powerhouse organizationsAgriterra, SNV, Solidaridad, and Wageningen University & Research (WUR)—each contributing specialized knowledge, industry expertise, and extensive networks to support dairy farmers and businesses across East Africa.

By leveraging local partnerships and on-the-ground projects, NEADAP is creating sustainable solutions to improve dairy productivity, quality, and market access.

Expanding Reach Across East Africa

In its first phase, NEADAP focused on Ethiopia, Kenya, and Uganda, working with farmers, cooperatives, and industry players to enhance dairy production and supply chains. Now, the initiative is scaling up its impact by expanding into Tanzania, Rwanda, and Burundi, ensuring that more dairy stakeholders benefit from cutting-edge research, training, and best practices.

Driving Innovation for a Stronger Dairy Industry

NEADAP’s work goes beyond just knowledge-sharing—it empowers farmers with modern techniques, strengthens dairy cooperatives, promotes sustainable farming practices, and enhances access to financial services. The goal? To make East Africa’s dairy industry more competitive, resilient, and profitable for all players in the value chain.

As the partnership grows, so does the potential for East African dairy farmers to increase yields, boost incomes, and supply high-quality dairy products to meet rising consumer demand.

The future of East Africa’s dairy industry is bright, and NEADAP is leading the way!
